Beijing Valve Research Institute under BVMC, with more than 40 years of R&D experience, was a Tier-2 research and development institution affiliated with the former Ministry of Machinery Industry, has led and participated in the formulation of more than 100 national and industry standards, has obtained over 100 product invention patents successively, and has received more than 20 awards and certificates at ministerial and provincial-level or above, representing that the scientific research achievements of the Institute have reached the international leading level or international advanced level. 

Beijing Valve General Factory Co.,Ltd has always been adhering to the concept of technology leadership and vigorously promoting a domestic production mode. Over the years, BVMC has successively addressed the “bottleneck” challenge of relying on imported valve products. 

In 2011, BVMC undertook the R&D of the "Domestic Production Project of Ultra-supercritical Thermal Power Units" that was led by the National Development and Reform Commission and the National Energy Administration, successfully passed the appraisal by the experts from the National Energy Administration, and the products developed by the Company in the Project have been marketed and used. 

In 2017, BVMC successfully developed bellow regulating valves, bellow seal gate valves and bellow seal globe valves or molten salt service for concentrated solar power.

In 2023, the nickel-based alloy flat gate valves and top-entry ball valves for high-acid gas fields independently developed and successfully passed the appraisal by the experts from China General Machinery Industry Association. 

In 2024, the 56inch Class 900 high-pressure large-diameter fully welded ball valves for long-distance pipeline networks developed and successfully passed the appraisal by the experts from China Machinery Industry Federation and China General Machinery Industry Association. The products with international advanced performance have been marketed and used.
