High Temperature Triple Eccentric Butterfly valve
The High Temperature Triple Eccentric Butterfly Valve is a high-performance flow control device designed for industrial pipelines operating under high-temperature, high-pressure, and abrasive conditions. Its unique triple-eccentric structure provides zero-leakage sealing, excellent temperature and pressure resistance, and strong erosion protection. It is widely used in industries such as petrochemical, power generation, metallurgy, and boiler steam systems, where valve reliability is critical.
Core Structure and Sealing Principle
The valve features a triple-eccentric design: the first eccentric offsets the stem axis from the disc center, the second offsets the stem axis from the valve body centerline, and the third offsets the disc sealing surface’s geometric center from the disc rotation axis. During operation, the sealing surface disengages from the seat without friction, while closing applies forced sealing pressure through the eccentric moment, ensuring tight contact.
Sealing surfaces are made of metal hard materials, such as tungsten carbide, stainless steel alloys, or Stellite, with optional ceramic coatings for enhanced wear resistance in demanding conditions. Valve bodies are typically made of heat-resistant cast steel or stainless steel, and safety features include fire-safe packing and blowout-proof stem designs to ensure secure operation under high-temperature conditions.

Advantages for High-Temperature Applications
Excellent Temperature Resistance: Operates reliably from -40°C to 650°C, with specialized models tolerating up to 800°C, suitable for boiler steam, high-temperature flue gas, and heat transfer oil pipelines.
Zero-Leakage Sealing: Metal hard seal design meets ISO 15848-1 Class A zero-leakage standards, ensuring safe isolation of flammable, explosive, or toxic media. Bi-directional sealing allows use in both flow directions.
Wear and Erosion Resistance: Hard alloy sealing surfaces combined with smooth flow paths resist erosion from particulate media such as fly ash or slag. Mechanical life exceeds standard centerline butterfly valves, with more than 50,000 cycles.
Easy and Stable Operation: The triple-eccentric design reduces operating torque by 20%–30% compared to double-eccentric valves of the same size. Manual, pneumatic, and electric actuation are supported. Electric models can include positioners for precise 0–100% flow control, compatible with automated control systems.
Typical Applications
High-temperature triple-eccentric butterfly valves are used in boiler steam pipelines in thermal power plants, blast furnace gas pipelines in metallurgical plants, high-temperature media lines in petrochemical hydrogenation units, and cement kiln flue gas ducts in the building materials industry. They are essential for flow regulation and emergency shut-off in high-temperature, high-pressure environments.
